Add Your YouTube Videos to Your Video Feature

Add the Videos feature to enable your users to see your online videos.  

Why add this feature?

  • Increase engagement by providing videos that your customers want to watch.
  • Promote your YouTube channels by providing access through your app.
  • Encourage users to share your app and your videos.
  • Promote your products and services with catchy videos.

To add your YouTube videos to your app:

  1. Sign in to your Swiftic account.
     
  2. Click Edit App.
     
  3. In the App Features tab, click + .
     
  4. In the All Features category tab, select the Videos feature.



  5. Enter a feature name, or leave it as is.
     
  6. Select YouTube.
     
  7. Select one of the following Types:
    • Channel: All of the videos on the selected channel are displayed.
    • Favorites: All of the users favorite videos are displayed.
    • Search: Enter a search query to display relevant videos.
    • Playlist: All of the videos defined in the selected playlist are displayed. .
       
  8. Depending on the Type you selected, enter the following relevant fields:
    • Username: Enter your YouTube username/ channel name. There is no need to add the complete URL but only the channel name. 
      For example: 
      https://www.youtube.com/channel/rockinmobis, enter rockinmobis

      In some cases the user/channel name is a string of numbers and letters.
      For example: 
      https://www.youtube.com/channel/PLzRu3gqJG7kXbCTpAY9aTHw, enter PLzRu3gqJG7kXbCTpAY9aTHw



    • Order by: Sort your videos by Newest, Most Viewed, or Rating.


       
    • Playlist name: Only enter a Playlist name if you include more than one Video source, to enable users to navigate between the video pages.


       
    • Search Term: Enter a search term.


       
    • Choose playlist:Select on of the available playlists from the drop-down menu.


  9. ​Define your feature background:

    a) Click (+) in the Background section.

    b) Click (+) and browse to the compatible images for smartphones (640px X 960px) and tablets (2048px X 1536px) respectively, and click Open. 

    c) Use the drag-n-crop tool to adjust the image.

    d) Click OK.

    e) Click OK.
